The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ would have been delayed until 2022's second half.

Everything pointed to Qualcomm announcing its new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ flagship processor in May, but a fresh rumour casts doubt on that prediction, claiming that the company's new chipset will only be available in the second half of the year due to issues with the location where it is made.

The delay, according to leaker Digital Chat Station, is due to the COVID-19 lockdown in Zhengzhou, where Qualcomm's new chip is manufactured at TSMC's plant - and, by the way, where the massive Foxconn factory that makes the majority of the world's iPhones is located.

This situation would have pushed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ release date into the second half of this year, postponing the arrival of the anticipated flagships.

According to the same source, Motorola, who has a solid relationship with Lenovo, might be the first manufacturer to release a smartphone featuring Qualcomm's new technology.

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra would be the first smartphone to include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor, which is not surprising given that the Edge 30 Pro was the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is the current Qualcomm flagship.

In terms of the new chip's performance, it's believed that switching from Samsung to TSMC will result in higher yields and fewer failures, as well as a minor increase in efficiency and speed.

The Motorola Edge 30 has a screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

Want a 144 Hz refresh rate LED display, high-quality stereo speakers, and dual 50 megapixel cameras?

As a result, you'll adore Motorola's new smartphone, the Edge 30.

The display on this phone is a 6.5-inch FHD Plus AMOLED with a 144-Hz refresh rate.

The stereo speakers are identical to Dolby Atmos speakers, and the Snapdragon 778G Plus processor is present.

The Motorola Edge 30 will come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 to 256 GB of storage that will not be expanded.

Users of Google's Pixel phones will be familiar with the Android 12 operating system, which is nearly the only pure Android system available.

There are three cameras on the back of the phone: a 50 megapixel main camera, a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera, and a 2 megapixel depth sensor camera.

The 50-megapixel rear camera and the 50-megapixel front camera can both capture 4K video, while the front camera features a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The Edge 30 has a 4020 mAh battery that can last up to a day and a half in moderate use, according to the manufacturer.

The phone will come with a 33 watt turbo power charger for charging.

5G compatibility, dual SIM support, dust and splash resistance, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC are among the other prominent features.

For 450 euros, the phone will be available in Europe, Asia, and other regions, including the Middle East (over 88,000 Pakistani rupees).

Motorola introduces new models to the market. This is the Moto G Stylus 5G and the Moto G 5G 2022

As announced, more Motorola devices are coming to the market, this time they are 5G variants of recently released models. Let's take a closer look at the Moto G Stylus 5G and Moto G 5G 2022.

Moto G Stylus 2022, another model with stylus support, hit the market in February this year, and the smartphone we are talking about today is a variant that adds support for next-generation networks. The situation is similar with the Moto G 5G 2022. Both devices will go on sale in the US on April 28 and May 19, respectively, at prices from $ 500 for the Moto G Stylus 5G and from $ 400 for the Moto G 5G 2022.

Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G specification

Here, the manufacturer took care of a sufficiently large, 6.8-inch LCD display with FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. At the front, in a circular opening, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and the configuration on the back includes a 50 Mpix main camera with OIS support, an 8 Mpix ultra wide angle lens and a 2 Mpix depth sensor.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in memory, which can be expanded with a microSD card up to a maximum of 1 TB. Moto G Stylus 5G works under the control of Android 12 with the MY UX overlay. The 5000mAh battery supports TurboPower 10 and Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and NFC.

Of course, as the name suggests, Moto G Stylus 5G supports a stylus that can be placed in a special slot in the housing. With it, you can take quick notes, edit photos or sign documents.

Specification of the Motorola Moto G 5G 2022

As for this model, Motorola reached for the Dimensity 700 chipset, of course with a 5G modem. The system is supported by 6 GB RAM and 256 GB of built-in memory, which can also be expanded with a microSD card, but only up to 512 GB. The battery typically for the manufacturer has a capacity of 5000 mAh, but charging only with a power of 10 W. And here we find a fingerprint reader on the side, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The display is smaller, because it has a diagonal of 6.5 inches. It is also an LCD panel, but with HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The selfie camera has 13 megapixels, and on the back we find a 50 megapixel main unit and two 2 megapixel eyes for macro and depth measurement.

Android 12 starts to arrive on more Motorola phones

Motorola has finally started to deliver the Android 12 update on more recently released smartphones. The novelty was noticed by a user of Moto Edge+, launched in 2020 and who until now had the previous version of Google's mobile operating system.

In the not-so-distant past, during the period when Google owned Motorola, the company was a model for the competition in terms of software updates. Since Lenovo bought the division responsible for smartphones, the situation has gotten worse and currently the company's policy of updates is one of the smallest (in number of patches sent over the life of the cell phone) and slowest on the market.

Now, a few weeks before the start of Google I/O, which takes place between the 11th and 12th of May and which will certainly be the stage for the presentation of Android 13, the company has started releasing Android 12 for the Motorola Edge+. The device was launched in 2020 with Android 10 and only received the most current version of the software from the search giant five months after its availability to companies.

Android 12 arrives with the security patch

The update has also started to appear for Moto Edge 2021 users. In both cases the update is sent along with Google's own patch of corrections, an essential package for the safe use of any Android device on the market.

Recently the Moto G200 was also graced with Android 12, a situation repeated in the Moto G50 last week, followed by the Moto Edge 20 Pro. Even with the growing number of cell phones with the latest operating system, Motorola's path is still long and there are several models in the update queue.

It includes the two Razr foldables, the Moto G30, 40, 60, 60s, 100, 31, 41, 51 and 71, along with the Edge 20 Lite and Fusion.
