A new Xiaomi 12 appears: it is Xiaomi 12S

 Also this year Xiaomi intends to diversify its high range to the maximum: Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12 S Pro are coming, both with "Plus" chips.

To the current Xiaomi 12 range, which currently sees Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro already presented and Xiaomi 12 Ultra on the way , two more new smartphones should be added very soon. The phones, which should be called Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro , could have a lot in common with the standard model of the range, namely the Xiaomi 12, except for a not insignificant technical specification: the chip .

The new devices, the 12S Pro is identified with the code name 2206122SC and the 12S with code name 2206123SC, should have a different processor than the standard version. According to an indiscretion of the Chinese site MyDrivers, the two smartphones will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset (SM8475), SoC based on TSMC 's 4 nm process  (while the current 8 Gen 1 is produced by Samsung ) and arriving in the second half of this year (although other rumors speak of a launch in May). Recent rumors have revealed that both the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 and the Xiaomi 12 Ultra and perhaps other devices of the Chinese company will also be based on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip.


Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro: how they will be

In addition to the indications on the processor that should be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, no other particular details have emerged on the two mysterious phones. However, both the Xiaomi 12S and the Xiaomi 12S Pro should have a better fast charging system and a richer photographic sector than the standard model, the Xiaomi 12.


What seems certain at the moment is that they will be devices with  slightly higher characteristics than the current Xiaomi 12 range.
